A professional in the field of neurology, Dr. Vakili enjoys working with people to treat their medical and neurological problems so that they can become more functional and active. She believes that healing an individual is a team effort, so she collaborates with her patients and their families to gather as much information as possible, to educate them about their condition, and to provide the best support that she can.

In 2018, she joined Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester, which is the largest multi-specialty physician group practice in southern New Hampshire. Her goal is to provide the best care for her patients by carefully listening to their symptoms and concerns so that together, they can formulate a plan to diagnose and treat their neurological conditions.

I am always inspired by patients who live their life to the fullest despite their neurological conditions by taking their medication, exercising,and choosing a healthy lifestyle. Before embarking on her professional journey, Dr. Vakili graduated with her medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine in 2003. Upon graduation, she served her internship at Ascension St. John Hospital in 2004, followed by her residency in neurology at Michigan State University – Sparrow Hospital in 2007. A year later, she completed her fellowship in neurophysiology at the University of Michigan Hospital.

Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in neurology and epilepsy through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology. 

A member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society, Dr. Vakili is affiliated with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Catholic Medical Center, and Cleveland Clinic. She attributes her success to her hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
