Recognized as an experienced neuroradiologist, Dr. Noujaim is the Clinical Director of Head and Neck Imaging at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. 

Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak opened on Jan. 24, 1955. Today, it is a major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma status. It is a part of Beaumont Health, a not-for-profit health organization in southeast Michigan.

Regarding his educational background, Dr. Noujaim earned his medical degree from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, School of Medicine in Brazil. After relocating to the United States, he went on to complete his internship at Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital/Sinai-Grace Hospital, and his residency in diagnostic radiology at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. Finally, he completed his fellowship in neuroradiology and vascular and interventional radiology at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.

As a testament to his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). He also holds a Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in the area of neuroradiology, a title that is renewable every 10 years provided certain rigorous criteria are met. 

 Doctor Noujaim is currently  Professor of Radiology at Oakland University, WB School of medicine and Clinical Director of Head & Neck Imaging.  

The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.  

Holding a license to practice medicine in Michigan, Dr. Noujaim has medical privileges at Beaumont Hospital, Troy & Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR), he is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the Roentgen Ray Society, the Michigan State Radiologic Society, the American Society of Neuroradiology, and the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology.  

Neuroradiology is a subspecialty of radiology focusing on the diagnosis and characterization of abnormalities of the central and peripheral nervous system, spine, and head and neck using neuroimaging techniques. Neuroradiologists are doctors who focus on diagnosing conditions of the spine, head & neck, and central nervous system. They use medical equipment, such as computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines, to identify problems.
