In addition to his work in the United States, he has also spent time in India, Brazil, Fiji, and Honduras doing medical missionary work.
Happily married, he loves spending time with his wife surfing together and watching sunrises and sunsets from the water. In addition to surfing, he is also an avid mountain climber and has climbed peaks in the Himalayas, Peru, and other parts of North America. He has also spent a year abroad working in New Zealand.
Photography is another hobby which brings him great enjoyment. He enjoys snapping photos of landscapes, people, or under water. His other hobbies include skiing or snowboarding, mountain biking, and triathlons. He is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, and Romanian.
