There he was part of the Beta Kappa Chi Honor Society, and the Treasurer of the Society Student Government. Wanting to further his education he completed his Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College in 1984, giving him over three decades of experience. After obtaining his Medical Degree he completed his General Surgery Internship and Residency at Highland General Hospital in Oakland, California, followed by an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Martin Luther King, Jr., County Hospital in Los Angeles.
Dr. Taylor is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He currently practices with his private practice, and is the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery with the Alta Bates-Summit Medical Center.
