Dr. Weiner is a fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow orthopedic surgeon with expertise in complex shoulder reconstruction and advanced arthroscopic procedures. He is an integral member of the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team at Summit Health, operating out of the offices in Garden City, Bay Shore, and Rockville Centre, New York.
While his focal interest is the upper extremity, Dr. Weiner is also skilled in treating patients with general orthopedic concerns such as fracture care, sports related injuries and arthritic conditions.

A 2012 graduate of the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Weiner went on to perform his residency in orthopedic surgery at Plainview Hospital. He followed this up with an orthopedic shoulder and elbow fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Weiner’s dedication to treating upper extremity conditions is rooted in years of specialized training and research. This includes a valuable traveling fellowship during which he trained under the guidance of prominent European shoulder and elbow surgeons, as well as a pivotal clinical research role at the esteemed Cleveland Clinic.
As a testament to his success, the doctor is board certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS). The AOBOS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system (orthopedic surgeons).
In affiliation with several professional organizations, Dr. Weiner is an active member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
His contributions to the field are evident in his co-authorship of multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters related to shoulder and elbow disorders, along with presentations of his findings at national orthopedic meetings.
