An exceptional neurosurgeon, Dr. Rodgers is affiliated with Long Island Neurological Associates, working with patients at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. He also serves as the Director of Pediatric Surgical Epilepsy at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York. His goal is to provide exceptional and compassionate clinical care to all his patients, from the routine to the most complex.

The doctor has extensive specialty training in pediatric tumors, epilepsy, and spine surgery including scoliosis. He has also made multiple contributions to the neurosurgery literature with a research focus on pediatric brain tumors, epilepsy, and pediatric spine surgery. Graduating cum laude with his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Rodgers completed his residency at NYU Langone Medical Center, and spent a chief residency year at the Manhattan Veterans Hospital and Bellevue Hospital. In addition to comprehensive neurosurgical training, he spent time focused on skull base surgery and pediatric spinal deformity while at NYU. 

Subsequently, he received training in neuro-modulation that included vagal nerve stimulation and auditory brainstem implantation, and completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, affiliated with Northwestern University Medical Center.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery through the American Board of Neurological Surgery, whose broad aim is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery and thereby serve the cause of public health.

Maintaining fellowship status, Dr. Rodgers is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS), Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP)

In his professional experience, he has spearheaded the development of a premier stereotactic EEG program, and has utilized state of the art technology, such as the ROSA Robot, to provide minimally invasive care for epilepsy patients. He has also implanted Responsive Neurostimulators, a ground breaking technology, to care for the most complex patients.

As for his academic appointments, Dr. Rodgers serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, and Adjunct Assistant Professor within the Department of Neurology at NYU Long Island School of Medicine.
