Dr. Shekhar Patil, MD, MPH, CPE, is a highly accomplished board-certified internist, scientist, entrepreneur, epidemiologist, and statistician. His passion for public health and data-driven decision-making led him to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the UTHealth School of Public Health in Houston, Texas. He further honed his expertise through prestigious postdoctoral research fellowships at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, where he contributed to groundbreaking cancer research and quality improvement initiatives. As the research lead for Texas Health Care Quality Innovation Hub, he spearheaded projects that elevated Memorial Hermann Hospital and McGovern Medical School’s rankings in the Vizient database.
Following his postdoctoral training, Dr. Patil completed his internal medicine residency at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts, and achieved board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. His professional affiliations include memberships in the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Association for Physician Leadership, and the American Medical Association. As one of the youngest physicians to earn the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) credential, Dr. Patil is widely recognized for his exceptional leadership and expertise in healthcare management.
