Alaine received her hospital-based nursing diploma at Long Island College Hospital of Brooklyn School of Nursing, and then went on to acquire her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Molloy College. An advocate for continuing education, she received her Master of Science degree in nursing at Regis University Loretto Heights School of Nursing in Denver, Colorado. Furthermore, she is an inductee of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Alaine is a registered nurse with 43 years of experience in her field and an extensive expertise in all facets of nursing, especially nursing education. Alaine feels that she owes her successful career to her hard work and determination, and in her spare time enjoys reading nursing publications, such as The American Journal of Nursing.

Alaine is currently serving as Adjunct Instructor at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York. Molloy College features a multidimensional curriculum that promotes the humanistic approach to nursing, integrating theory and innovative clinical practice opportunities within a framework of ethical decision making.
