Dr. Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM, is a board certified podiatrist and pediatric specialist renowned for his expertise in treating complex foot and ankle conditions. He cares for patients at Upperline Health, operating out of three convenient locations in the Greater Indianapolis.

His journey to becoming a leading podiatrist began with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Degree from the prestigious Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. Following this, Dr. DeHeer completed his residency in podiatric surgery at Winona Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, before undertaking a foot and ankle arthroscopy fellowship under the mentorship of renowned podiatrist, Richard O. Lundeen, DPM.

Double board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Dr. DeHeer excels in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He holds professional memberships with the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Pediatrics, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, to name a few.

He is the recipient of the Meritorious Service Award from the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association (2004), the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the American Podiatric Medical Association (2011), the T.H. Clarke Achievement Award from the Indiana Podiatric Medical Association (2011), the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the International Federation of Podiatrists (2014), the Alumnus of the Year from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine (2017), the Honor Medallion from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine (2017), the Kenison Award from the American Podiatric Medical Students’ Association (2020), and Gerald T. Kuwada, DPM, Memorial Lectureship Recipient from the International Foot and Ankle Foundation (2021).

When he is away from the office, Dr. DeHeer aims to care for the underserved around the world. He has traveled on multiple medical mission trips to Africa, Barbados, Costa Rica, Haiti (serving as the Founder and President of Step by Step Haiti), Honduras, Iraq, Trinidad, and Ukraine, among others. He believes in serving those at home as well, having volunteered monthly at the Trinity Free Medical Clinic in Carmel since 2000.
