Now retired, Dr. Hutchins served as Medical Director of the U.S. Public Health Service from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Her career in medicine began in 1983 when she graduated with her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. In order to keep current with the newest developments, guidelines, and procedures in her field, she remains a distinguished member of the American Public Health Association and the American College of Preventive Medicine. Additionally, she is board-certified in public health & general preventive medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
