Melissa Dawn Harlan is an established Clinical Nurse Specialist who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients as a Teaching Fellow within the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing in Pennsylvania. Featuring over 10 years of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in adult health as a clinical nurse specialist.

Melissa’s career in nursing began in 2008, when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from West Virginia University. An advocate for pursuing further education, she went on to earn her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh.

An inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Phi Theta Kappa Honor society, and Beta Beta Beta Fraternity Melissa is committed to keeping current with the newest developments and guidelines in nursing. She has dedicated her life to delivering the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to her patients, and strives to provide the best outcomes possible. With a passion for her work, Melissa attributes her success to working with excellent physicians and nurses, as well as professionals who encourage her to move forward. Their dedication to the profession inspires her, and when she is not working she enjoys cooking, everything outdoors, and spending time with her pet rabbit, Shadow.
