Carol June Athey is an established Registered Nurse who continues to provide exceptional care and support to her patients within Lufkin, Texas. Featuring over 37 years of experience in her field, she has a special expertise in nurse education, perioperative nursing, and aromatherapy.

Carol’s career in nursing began in 1981, when she graduated with her Associate Nursing Degree from Angelina College Lufkin, TX. and BSN from Stephen F. Austin State University Nacogdoches, TX  in 2005. An advocate for pursuing further education, she went on to earn her Master of Science Degree in Nursing Education from the University of Texas at Tyler, TX in 2008. She also pursued a lifelong goal and earned a Masters Degree in Art Education in 2013.

Carol is committed to keeping current with the newest developments and guidelines in nursing. She has dedicated her life to delivering the highest standard of quality and compassionate care to her patients and strives to provide the best outcomes possible. With a passion for her work, Carol attributes her success to the people that supported her while she was working as a nurse and their encouragement, It helped her continue her education. When she is not working she enjoys painting with watercolors and traveling.
