Specialist Vascular Interventional Radiologist, Azher Iqbal, MD will be Noted in FindaTopDoc

Dr. Azher Iqbal is an established Vascular Interventional Radiologist who continues to provide exceptional care and support to his patients within his own private outpatient treatment facility, Buffalo Vascular Care located in Lancaster, New York. Featuring over two decades of experience in his field, he has a special expertise in vascular interventional radiology. During the course of his practice, Dr. Iqbal has hosted many training sessions on advanced endovascular techniques for numerous interventional radiologists and vascular surgeons within WNY and United States. 

 

Dr. Iqbal’s career in Vascular Interventional Radiology began in 1990, when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the SUNY Downstate Medical Center, MD. Thereafter, he completed his internship in general surgery with the New York Medical College, Westchester County Center, followed by a general surgery residency at New York Medical College and Westchester County Center; and a diagnostic radiology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. He continued his education with a vascular interventional radiology fellowship at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai Roosevelt, Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

 

To keep current with the new developments and technology in his field, Dr. Iqbal remains a distinguished member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, and Critical Limb Ischemia Global Society. He holds a position on the Board of Directors for Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society.

He has dedicated his life to delivering quality and compassionate care, and attributes his success to education, teaching, and patient care.

 

Dr. Iqbal’s special interests are in outpatient treatment of arterial and venous disease of lower extremities, non surgical treatment of uterine fibroids (uterine fibroid embolization), pelvic venous congestion syndrome, and vertebral spine fractures (kyphoplasty).
