Bronx, New York – St. Barnabas Hospital is proud to highlight the impressive journey and achievements of Ikenna Alily, RN, a dedicated Registered Nurse who has been an integral part of the hospital’s nursing team since October 2022. With a robust background in medical-surgical nursing and travel nursing, Ikenna is now transitioning into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), furthering his commitment to critical care and advanced patient management.
Ikenna’s educational journey began with an Associate’s Degree in science from the Borough of Manhattan Community College in 2017, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Long Island University in 2020. His dedication to continuous learning is evident through his certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and The National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS). He is also a proud member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the American Heart Association.
Born with aspirations in the oil industry, Ikenna’s path took a transformative turn upon arriving in the United States. Initially starting as a pharmacist, he quickly recognized his passion for patient care. This realization propelled him into the nursing field, where he has successfully thrived for the past four years. Graduating during the COVID-19 pandemic further solidified his commitment to healthcare, as he witnessed firsthand the impact of compassionate nursing on patients and their families.
In 2023, Ikenna’s dedication was recognized through his outstanding contributions to St. Barnabas Hospital’s Star Program, which showcases exceptional nursing practice and commitment to patient care. His unwavering drive to make a difference in the lives of others has not only earned him accolades but has also inspired his colleagues and patients alike.
