Dr. Calian has been involved in the field of dentistry almost her entire life, where she focuses on both the science and artistry of her profession. Her dedication, extensive training, and knowledge have given her the insight and ability to know what is best for her patients.
The owner of Smile Design Dental Spa in Mount Kisco, New York, Dr. Calian remains dedicated to providing the highest quality dental care in the area. At her luxurious, state-of-the-art, spa-like dental practice, she and her experienced team of professionals make sure patients are relaxed and comfortable with modern amenities.
With more than two decades of clinical experience and in her role as the Dental Director at one of the largest insurance companies in New York, Dr. Calian gained superior proficiency with some of the most advanced technologies in the dental field. She uses this advanced technology and her know-how to provide veneers, teeth whitening, teeth straightening, crowns, implants, sedation options, dental exams, and much more to her patients. She also serves as an Instructor for daVinci Dental Studio, a full-service dental laboratory.

Pertaining to her educational background, Dr. Calian attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She trained extensively as a hospital resident at Montefiore Medical Center, as well as earned her Master of Science (MS) degree in Aesthetics from the renowned Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry. During this time, she implemented a school-based dental program and developed a curriculum in oral pathology.
A firm believer in the importance of continuing education, she has continued to educate and train in various cosmetic dental procedures, techniques, and technologies. In fact, she exceeds the amount of required yearly education courses and has attended and completed: Branemark Dental Implant Seminars, Laminate Dentistry Seminars, T.M.D. Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, as well as Certification in Conscious Sedation, Lumineers®, and Invisalign®.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
