Dr. Stanislav B. Avshalumov received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. Before receiving his medical degree, Dr. Avshalumov was a research assistant for Dr. Ramiz Ibragimov, studying the Rehabilitation of Muscle after Surgical Reconstruction of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear at the Astrakhan Medical Academy in Russia. Upon obtaining his Doctorate, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Peninsula Hospital Center in New York. Thereafter, he undertook a joint preservation, resurfacing & replacement fellowship at the Washington University Orthopedics in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Avshalumov is certified through the American Boards of Orthopaedic Surgery. He remains a professional member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, and the American Osteopathic Association. He is currently an Orthopedic Surgeon with Advanced Orthopedics and Joint Preservation, PC where his expertise is focused on Joint Preservation, Hip and Knee Reconstruction, as well as Arthroscopy.
