Dr. Teplick is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience as an eye physician and surgeon. He is the Founder of Teplick Custom Vision, and has performed more than 50,000 laser vision correction surgeries.

He then went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, New York, where he was named Chief Resident in 1981.
An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology, an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
In his professional experience, he participated in the original FDA studies leading to the approval of the Excimer Laser for corneal refractive surgery, and he performed the first PRK and LASIK procedures in the Pacific Northwest.
Among many other innovative distinctions, Dr. Teplick was one of the first 10 surgeons to implant the KAMRA Corneal Inlay in the United States following FDA approval, and is the only surgeon certified to implant KAMRA Inlays for the correction of Presbyopia (near-vision loss) in Oregon.
