Dr. Stephanie Kube, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology), wears many hats as a board certified veterinary neurologist/neurosurgeon, pain specialist, and rehab practitioner. As the passionate owner and Medical Director of the Advanced Veterinary Specialty Center of New England in Walpole, Massachusetts, she brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role, driving excellence in veterinary care.

With a passion for providing personalized care to pets and their owners, Dr. Kube ensures that every experience at the center is tailored to address individual medical needs comprehensively. She believes in a holistic approach to treatment, integrating pain management seamlessly into her practice as a neurologist/neurosurgeon.

Having graduated from Colorado State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2000, Dr. Kube has since pursued a remarkable journey in veterinary medicine. Her extensive training includes a small animal rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, an internship in neurosurgery at the University of Georgia, and a residency in neurology/neurosurgery at UC Davis. Her commitment to excellence led her to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) in 2005.

Among her impressive credentials, Dr. Kube holds certifications as a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP) and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT). Her dedication to pain management is further evidenced by her eligibility to sit for the American Academy of Pain Management (DAAPM) exam. 

Dr. Kube’s influence extends beyond her practice, as she actively participates in various organizations and councils, including the Ambassador Council of the New England Aquarium, the ACVIM’s Misconduct Guidelines Task Force, Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Veterinary Medicine, and on the Advisory Board of Zoo New England. She is a founding member of the Veterinary Neurosurgical Society and remains an engaged member of numerous veterinary associations, including the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Academy of Regenerative Medicine, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, the South Shore Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians, and the American Society of Pain Educators, demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field of veterinary medicine.

Known for her progressive and integrative approach, Dr. Kube continuously explores new modalities to address pain and neurologic conditions in pets. Her dedication to learning and sharing knowledge is evident through her regional, national, and international lectures on pain management, rehabilitation, and neurology.
