Stephanie is a family nurse practitioner who has enjoyed nursing for over 15 years and still continues her passion for assisting the women of the Rio Grande Valley. She practices at Born Again Obstetrics & Gynecology in McAllen, Texas.
Born Again Obstetrics & Gynecology provide the full range of gynecologic services for women of all ages. Whether it’s a well woman exam, family planning, a pap smear, breast health, or a gynecologic issue, the providers working there are proficient at managing both routine and problem visits. They understand the special needs of women at all stages of life.
Having always had a heart for helping others, Stephanie knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in the medical profession. Right out of high school, she obtained her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree from South Texas Community College. She worked at Rio Grande Regional Hospital while getting her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degrees from the University of Texas-Pan American.
She quickly realized that obstetrics and gynecology was where her heart belonged and was happy to take on the role as a nurse practitioner in the OB/GYN community. Her plans are to continue with a long and beautiful caring heart fulfilling her career in women’s health for many years to come.
A Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse who works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to deliver family-focused care. Given the rather broad nature of the “family” patient population focus, FNPs offer a wide range of healthcare services that revolve around the family unit; from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan.
The mother of one beautiful daughter, Stephanie enjoys running, exercising, and working in the yard when she is not working.
