He then went on to complete his internship at the University of Colorado Medical Center, Denver Colorado. He entered the United States Army in 1961 and completed his residency in dermatology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the District of Columbia. He retired from the Military as a Lt. Colonel in 1971, he then joined the Gundersen Lutheran Healthcare System in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Dr. Webster is in the Department of Dermatology, which offers a dynamic combination of services to address everything involving the treatment of common skin conditions like acne, Vulgaris, and eczema to serious conditions like skin cancer, and autoimmune diseases like Pemphigus Vulgaris.
As a national leader in dermatology, Dr. Webster was President of the American Academy of Dermatology in 1991 and received the Gold medal from the American Academy of Dermatology, for his visionary leadership in dermatology and numerous contributions as a physician and educator. He received the Founders Award in Medical Leadership from the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation in 2011.
In regards to his personal life, Dr. Webster and his wife, Katie, have three children, Margaret, Jim, and David, and six grandchildren.
