Stephen graduated with his Nursing degree from Brevard Community College in 1979, giving him over four decades of experience in the medical field. Furthering his education he completed his Bachelor of Science and his Physician Assistant Certification from the University of Florida in 1984.
Stephen currently practices with VA Medical Center and was the first PA for the Orthopedic service in Gainesville. He help expand their services during hours and days the surgeons were unable to because of their responsibilities in the OR. Previously all patient would have to return to the clinic at a different time. He was granted the clerical and Orthopedic scope to see patients, treat them and then appropriately schedule them back at a more convenient time for all. He became the Clinical Facilitator in that role, which rapidly expanded.
