From there, he served his residency in orthopedic surgery at the School of Health and Medical Sciences – Seton Hall University, where he was chief resident. In 2017, he completed his fellowship in spine surgery at Texas Back Institute.
Dr. Patel is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Eastern Orthopedic Association, and the Orthopedic Trauma Association.
