Dr. Suraj Alva is a board-certified General and Colon and Rectal Surgeon trained at Yale and UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. As a practicing colon and rectal surgeon, his expertises in colorectal surgery include the field of advanced laparoscopic and robotic colon and rectal surgeries, colon and rectal cancer surgery especially sphincter preserving, surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease (crohn’s and ulcerative colitis), diverticulitis, transanal resection of tumors, anorectal disease, incontinence (sacral nerve stimulators), and colonoscopy.
