A trusted obstetrician-gynecologist with over three decades of experience, Dr. Sterlacci is currently working as a locums physician. As a locums physician, she is currently filling in for doctors or for hospitals that find themselves in need of physicians in order to keep their Obstetrical units open. A 1985 graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she went on to perform her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Jacobi Medical Center, finishing in 1989. She then started in private practice on Long Island and worked and lived there for approximately 20 years. With a slightly adventurous spirit, she temporarily worked in Arizona, then southern Virginia, also in private practice. It was after this that she started working as an Ob/Gyn Hospitalists, starting out in Virginia, moving to Florida, then to Texas. As a hospitalist she was working out of one or more hospitals, providing care to pregnant women on the hospital’s obstetrical unit, ob ED as well as seeing Gyn patients in the main hospital ED.
Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), Dr. Sterlacci is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
