Dr. El-Sayegh is board-certified in both internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). Dr. El-Sayegh received her medical degree from the Lebanese University – Faculty of Medical Sciences in Hadeth south, Lebanon. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in internal medicine at SIUH, as well as her fellowship in nephrology at Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center.

Nephrology is a specialty of medicine and pediatrics that concerns itself with the kidneys: the study of normal kidney function and kidney disease, the preservation of kidney health, and the treatment of kidney disease, from diet and medication to renal replacement therapy.
