He volunteers and serves on the Board of Directors at the Crescent Community Clinic in Spring Hill, which provides free medical career to uninsured individuals. He also serves on the Board for the Hernando County Mental Health Alliance and People Helping People.
A 1991 MBBS graduate of the internationally recognized Dow Medical University in Pakistan, he completed his training in psychiatry at St. Fintans Psychiatric Hospital in Port Laoise, Ireland. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency at Kansas University Medical Center (KUMC) in 2006, where he was elected Chief Resident.
While at KUMC, he was asked to work on a research paper with Dr. Penik on the recent advances in the treatment of alcoholism. After completing his residency, he worked at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, Missouri.
For the purpose of advancing his efforts, the doctor remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, and the Hernando County Mental Health Alliance.
