A skilled dentist, Dr. Wilkins IV works alongside his wife, Leah B. Wilkins, DMD, at Center for Dentistry in Aiken, South Carolina. He utilizes his specialized training to provide a wide range of cosmetic and surgical services, dental implants, and advanced restorative care.

Before studying dentistry, Dr. Wilkins IV received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University (WVU). At WVU, he was a member of its rifle team where he won four NCAA National Championships and earned six All-American honors. During this time, he was also a member of the US Shooting National Team. While he won many national honors, his highest accolade was winning a gold and silver medal for the United States in the 1994 World Championships in Milan, Italy.
Upon graduating with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dentistry, Dr. Wilkins IV completed a General Practice Residency followed by training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, now Augusta University. He is the former Assistant Director of the Medical College of Georgia’s General Practice Residency. He has also graduated from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management Executive Management Program.
An alumnus of the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute, Dr. Wilkins IV focused his studies on Advanced Restorative Dental Treatment, Complex Occlusion (Bite) Problems, Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), and Aesthetics. He teaches in several courses at the Institute as a Visiting Faculty member. He also serves on the Board of Advisors of The Pankey Institute.
In only six years after graduating from dental school, Dr. Wilkins IV achieved the status as a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). It entailed taking 500 hours of additional continuing education, five years of membership meeting the yearly continuing education requirements, and then passing a rigorous 8-hour exam. He also achieved Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Mastership in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Accreditation Candidate in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries, create beautiful smiles, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
Recognized as a leader in the dental field, Dr. Wilkins IV was chosen as one of the top 40 dentists nationally from Incisal Edge Magazine,”40 under 40”, in 2015. The dentists were nominated by dental industry experts and vetted by an independent panel, which represented the best of dentistry today, and the promise of even better dentistry for tomorrow.
Also involved in his profession, Dr. Wilkins IV has served as a Delegate and Chairman of the Strategic Planning Committee for the South Carolina Dental Association. He has also been a key opinion leader (KOL) for PlanMeca Corporation. Dr. Wilkins is currently a KOL for GC America, who supply various high end dental materials, and SprintRay, a 3D printing company who are pioneers in Digital Dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Wilkins IV enjoys skiing, hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his wife, Leah, two children, Witt and Loren Ann, and their dogs, Millie (Golden Retriever) and Trump (Silver Labrador Retriever).
In the community, he serves as the team dentist for the USC-Aiken Pacer athletics, and is a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church.
