She holds certifications as: a Certified Managed Care Nurse (CMCN), a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL), a Certified Registered Nurse Intravenous (CRNI), a Certified Urologic Registered Nurse (CURN), and a Registered Nurse Clinical Specialist (RNCS). She is also certified in CPR, IV Therapy, and Wound Care.
Having always wanted to be a nurse since she was a child, Tammie now has over two decades of experience in the field. Attributing her success to her parents, she enjoys training new staff in the nursing field and home health is primarily her field of choice.
When asked what motivates her at the start of each day, she answers “the challenges of patient care in a home setting.” Through listening and offering a friendly smile, she strives to make a difference in the lives of her patients.
A Registered Nurse (RN) is a nurse who has graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body to obtain a nursing license. RNs fulfill a variety of job duties. In addition to their primary role in treating and caring for patients, their responsibilities also include educating patients and the public about a variety of medical conditions, as well as providing emotional support and advice to the families of their patients. Other RN job functions include leadership, research, performing diagnostic tests and analyzing results, operating medical equipment, administering medications, recording patients’ symptoms and medical histories, and assisting with patient rehabilitation and follow-up.
On a more personal note, Tammie is engaged. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and oil painting. Her favorite movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life” and she enjoys all genres of music.
