During medical school, she also spent a summer performing research at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Finally, she completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of California Irvine – Children’s Hospital of Orange County, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She was also actively involved in the local American Academy of Pediatrics chapter.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
After completing her chief year, Dr. Dubin worked in a private practice setting before deciding to move with her family to Miami, where her husband Jacob was born and raised. Together, they live in Pinecrest with their young daughter, Madelyn, and Boston terrier Milo.
