A native of Iowa, Dr. Chambers attended The University of Iowa College of Engineering for his undergraduate studies, and went on to attend the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine to earn his medical degree. He completed his internship at the Indiana University School of Medicine followed by a residency in orthopedic surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He furthered his education with subspecialty training with a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Miami Health System.
An expert in his field, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. He owns a patent for an orthopedic implant and is a consulting surgeon for sports medicine and total joint companies.
Maintaining fellowship status, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (FAAOS), and Fellow of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (FAANA).
