Serving as the Chief of Surgery, Dr. Bradbury Jr. brings over 15 years of dedicated experience and innovation to the Cumming community and beyond.

Dr. Bradbury Jr., originally from Atlanta, discovered his passion for medicine while attending Washington and Lee University. There, he not only excelled academically but also showcased his leadership skills as President of the Pre-Medical Society and a four-year letterman on the football team. He earned his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), where he graduated first in his class and held prestigious positions such as President of the Honor Council and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. It was during his time at MCG that he recognized orthopedic surgery’s transformative potential for patients suffering from debilitating joint conditions, solidifying his commitment to hip and knee replacement surgery.

Completing his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Dr. Bradbury Jr. served as Administrative Chief Resident before pursuing a fellowship at the esteemed OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center. Since launching his practice in Atlanta in 2007, he has performed over 4,000 anterior total hip replacements and a total of over 7,500 hip and knee replacement procedures, pioneering the anterior hip replacement technique in Atlanta in 2009.

Dr. Bradbury Jr.’s commitment to patient care and surgical excellence has earned him multiple accolades, including recognition as an Atlanta Magazine Top Doctor for several consecutive years and the prestigious Top Doctor Award from The Atlantan in 2023. He has also held leadership roles as President of the Georgia Orthopedic Society (2022-2023) and the Atlanta Orthopedic Society (2015-2017). 

With a focus on improving patient outcomes through effective communication, Dr. Bradbury Jr. emphasizes the importance of building strong relationships with his patients. His dedication extends beyond the operating room; he has educated hundreds of medical students and orthopedic surgery residents and has delivered over 100 lectures nationwide on hip and knee replacement advancements.

An innovator in the field, Dr. Bradbury Jr. has broad experience with surgical implant and instrument design, and has contributed significantly to orthopedic research. He has published numerous textbook chapters and over 50 peer-reviewed articles about hip and knee replacement surgery focusing on the prevention of infections, prevention of blood clots, rapid recovery protocols, patient optimization protocols, minimally invasive surgical techniques, anterior total hip replacement techniques, and value-based care. 

Dr. Bradbury Jr. and his wife, Julie, reside in Atlanta with their three children, Tommy, Molly, and Brooks. In his spare time, he enjoys family activities, flying, and water skiing.
