Practicing since 1995, Dr. Khara has the expertise to address all orthodontic issues and provide each patient with confidence in their treatment. He is the Founder of Khara Orthodontics & Dream Smiles, helping to create straight, healthy smiles across the Holly Springs and Raleigh communities.
“I love being an orthodontist, and the opportunity it affords me to be able to meet so many wonderful families. It has always been my focus to “do the right thing at the right time!” Therefore, I treat my patients as if they were one of my own children. I am extremely passionate about orthodontics and am continuously seeking educational opportunities for myself and my staff. This allows us to deliver the best treatment for our patients. It is important for me to provide excellent orthodontic results using the latest technology while having a friendly and fun atmosphere” expressed Dr. Khara.
Devoted to restoring and enhancing smiles using state-of-the-art procedures, he and his ‘Dream Team’ offer comprehensive orthodontics for all ages, including: traditional braces, clear aligners, early treatment, rapid palatal expanders, and more. They believe that everyone deserves a healthy, appealing smile, regardless of their age or alignment issues. After finishing his undergraduate studies at Duquesne University, Dr. Khara attended the University of Pittsburgh Dental School for his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. Upon graduation, he completed an orthodontic residency at New York University College of Dentistry in 1995.
Dedicated to utmost comfort and optimal oral health, he is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, and the Raleigh Wake County Dental Society.

Happily married for over 25 years, he and his wife have four wonderful children. When not tooth moving, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing volleyball, or catching a Pittsburgh Steelers game.
