The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Summa Health Systems-Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital in Akron, followed by his fellowship in sports medicine at Wellington Orthopaedics and the University of Cincinnati. During his fellowship with the Cincinnati Bengals and the University of Cincinnati, he participated treating collegiate as well as professional athletes from the NFL, ATP, and AVP.
In his current capacity, Dr. Diehl is the team physician for McKinney High School, Heritage High School in Frisco, as well as the Frisco Lacrosse Association. For the purpose of advancing his efforts, he remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Osteopathic Association.
Furthermore, he is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, which is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
