A trusted pediatrician, Dr. Nwokidu-Aderibigbe has been a part of Valley Children’s Medical Group since August of 2020. She sees patients at Adventist Health Community Care – Hanford. 

Caring for children from birth to 21 years of age, she offers services ranging from preventative screenings and immunizations to care of acute conditions. 

Dr. Nwokidu-Aderibigbe obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Lagos College of Medicine in Nigeria in 1999. She then relocated to the United States, completing her Master of Public Health degree in Population and International Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2008.

Further education included a residency in pediatrics at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in 2017, and a fellowship in neonatology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in 2020.

A firm believer that children need all of the advocates that they can get, first at home and then in every other sphere in life, Dr. Nwokidu-Aderibigbe chose pediatrics as her specialty because it gives her the opportunity to support families as they raise and care for their children.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), she is certified in general pediatrics as well as neonatology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn. It is a hospital-based specialty and is usually practiced in neonatal intensive care units. A neonatologist is a medical professional who specializes in caring for newborn babies, particularly those who are ill or born prematurely. They may also provide antenatal consultation for women with certain risk factors, such as multiple births.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
