Likewise, she works with patients to educate them about treatment options and to find the best possible treatment plan, including collaboration with primary care physicians, pelvic floor physical therapists, pain specialists, colorectal surgeons, and urologists.
Born and raised in the small town of Jammu, nestled in the Himalayan mountain range, Dr. Raizada’s acclaimed career in medicine began after she earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in 2002. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2007. This was followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of California, San Diego in 2009, and a fellowship in female pelvic medicine & reconstructive surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2012.
Having acquired valuable skills in female pelvic ultrasonography, Dr. Raizada is fellowship-trained in vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques. She has also completed research in the use of 3D ultrasound for pelvic floor injuries and bowel leakage.
A Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), she is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology & female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery/urogynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
