Dr. Anand is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He has formerly served as President of the American Rhinologic Society, the New York Bronchoscope Society, and the New York Laryngological Society.
Dr. Anand is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABO). The ABO is a non-profit corporation that has set the mission of ensuring professional standards with certificates and memberships, and has offered training in the fields of head neck surgery to professionals since 1924.
Dr. Anand earned his medical degree from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in Chennai, India in 1974. He completed his internship at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, followed by residencies at Jewish Memorial Hospital, Misericordia-Lincoln Hospital, and Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. He also completed his fellowship in head & neck surgery / microvascular & facial plastic surgery at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
