After relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in infectious disease at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University in 1980 and 1982, respectively.
An authority in her field, the doctor is board-certified in infectious disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Achieving fellowship status, she is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), and Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (FIDSA). She maintains hospital privileges at Ascension Providence Hospital-Southfield, Ascension Providence Hospital-Novi, and Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak.
