He then went on to complete his fellowship training in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery at the University of Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute. Shortly after, he became board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology, an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
In order to stay up to date in his field, he maintains membership with the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Cornea Society, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Every year, he routinely lectures at both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Association of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons national meetings.
