Unconventional in his practice approach, he feels that surgery should be minimally invasive and minimally painful with a convenient and tolerable recovery, while producing the maximum results. He believes that the aesthetic result of any procedure is not a secondary consideration, but is just as important as the primary condition being corrected.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Zeetser attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He started his attendance at UCLA as a Regents’ Scholar under scholarship. During this time, he spent several years volunteering at the Venice Family Clinic in Venice, California, one of the most prestigious free clinics in the country. There, he participated in clinical work with multiple medical specialties and provided translation services.

It was there that Dr. Zeetser developed an interest in podiatric medicine. He pursued his podiatric medical education at the California College of Podiatric Medicine (CCPM) in San Francisco, which was closely affiliated with UCSF Medical School. He maintained a scholarship during his entire 4 years of study at this institution, as well as received numerous additional outside scholarships, merit based grants, and awards.  Dr. Zeetser spent his 4th year of podiatric medical education in Los Angeles, dividing his time between the Wadsworth Veterans Hospital in Westwood, California and Olive View Medical Center in Sylmar, where he completed his clinical rotations.

After receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from CCPM and graduating with highest honors, he applied and was accepted to his top choice surgical residency program at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Zeetser completed this program with 2 years of advanced surgical training in comprehensive foot and ankle surgery and also earned a 2 year certificate in lower extremity wound management and limb salvage. During this time, he also gained extensive knowledge in foot and ankle trauma surgery, sports medicine, diabetic foot management, and biomechanics.

Following successful completion of this advanced surgical and wound care training program, Dr. Zeetser continued to act as an attending faculty surgeon to the residency program during the remainder of its existence. He chose to remain in the San Fernando Valley and establish his practice in Encino where treats some of the most medically challenged foot and ankle problems.

As one of the top doctors in Los Angeles, Dr. Zeetser currently maintains hospital privileges at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. He performs the majority of his elective procedures at multiple specialized outpatient surgical centers throughout the area.

To stay at the cutting edge of his specialty, Dr. Zeetser maintains active membership and affiliations in nationally recognized surgical societies, including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons where he earned the title of Fellow, as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association, the California Podiatric Medical Association where he previously served on the Board of Directors from 2013-2015 and the Los Angeles Podiatric Medical Association, where he served as President from 2010-2013.

Board-certified in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle surgery, as well as Foot Surgery, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). The ABFAS strives to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by advancing the art and science of foot and ankle surgery.

While developing a successful practice, Dr. Zeetser began to focus his attention on innovation and along with his partner, developed a revolutionary procedure for bunion surgery known as the FastForward Bunion Correction as well as FastForward for Hallux Varus procedure for which he received multiple US and foreign patents.  In addition, the FastForward bone tether plate received similar patents and was released in 2014, becoming the first 3D printed titanium implant for the foot.  This device and procedure was featured in a peer reviewed article co-authored by Dr. Zeetser in Techniques in Orthopedics published in 2016 as well as Orthopedics This Week in May 2016.  As a result, Dr. Zeetser was invited to be the keynote speaker at China Medical University in Taiwan in 2018 during which he gave two lectures on bunion surgery and 3D metal printing.  In addition, Dr. Zeetser pioneered the field of Foot Feminization, which he trademarked as FootFem™, for women and the transgender community to achieve the desired foot aesthetic that nature did not provide.
