Dr. Rotkis is also board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). Founded in 1916, the ABO is an independent, nonprofit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists (eye physicians and surgeons) in the United States.

Dr. Rotkis is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (FAAO).

Dr. Rotkis has served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Washington and was formerly the corneal consultant for Madigan and Bremerton hospitals.

Among his many achievements and awards, Dr. Rotkis has also been listed as one of Seattle’s “Best Doctors” and “Top Doctors” by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine. Furthermore, he has received the “Patients’ Choice Award” several years in a row.

Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery, both methods being used, that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. Dr. Rotkis is an expert in the diseases, functions and anatomy of the eye. He repairs traumatic injuries to the eye and performs cataract and corneal surgery.
