She then went on to obtain her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1982, after which she relocated to the United States to complete her fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at Harvard Medical School in 1987.
Committed to her profession, the doctor is board-certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
