A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Columbia University School of Engineering, Dr. Larrison went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville in 1985, where he was named to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed both his residency in ophthalmology and his retina fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary of Harvard Medical School in Boston.
Holding over 35 years of experience in eye and vision care, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
In addition to serving as an adviser on the medical devices panel of the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Larrison teaches at the Yale School of Medicine. He serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
