A Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) is an advanced practice registered nurse who holds certification and works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to deliver family-focused care. Given the rather broad nature of the “family” patient population focus, FNPs offer a wide range of healthcare services that revolve around the family unit; from health promotion and disease prevention to direct care and counseling across the lifespan.
An active supporter of Young Life, Whitney plans to support Comal County Young Life in the near future. She has volunteered as a camp nurse for Young Life at Crooked Creek Ranch in Colorado and has been a volunteer and leader at several other camps in the past.
On a more personal note, she lives in the hill country, where she and her husband have bought acreage and hope to build and settle there. They enjoy the outdoors, traveling, listening to live music, spending time with their families and friends, and venturing around the hill country. A combined dream of theirs is to become active in medical missions both stateside and overseas.
