Professionally, Dr. Lowry is also the Chief of Orthopaedics and a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Team at Bayfront Medical Center, as well as the Chief of Orthopaedics at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
Providing excellence in his field, he is an active member of the Florida Orthopaedic Society, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
A 1978 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Dr. Lowry went on to perform his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
As a testament to his success, he is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery with a sub-specialty in arthroscopy and total joint replacement by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopaedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopaedic surgeons.
