A committed physiatrist, Dr. Doss is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the brave men and women who have served our nation. He is not only affiliated with the Durham VA Medical Center but also serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the ECU Brody School of Medicine.
With a mission to provide exceptional healthcare services, the Durham VA Medical Center caters to over 200,000 Veterans in a 27-county region of central and eastern North Carolina. The center is devoted to meeting the unique healthcare needs of its patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Doss earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. Additionally, he holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Auburn University. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine, further honing his expertise in the field.
Upon completing his training, he achieved board certification in physical medicine & rehabilitation and electrodiagnostic medicine through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The ABPMR is dedicated to enhancing the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation through rigorous certification processes that encourage continuous learning and excellence.
Throughout his career, Dr. Doss has demonstrated unwavering commitment and compassion in his practice. His dedication to patient care was recognized in 2016 when he received the Compassionate Doctor Recognition, highlighting his exceptional ability to connect with patients and provide them with the care they deserve.
