A 1998 graduate of Temple University, Dr. DuMornay completed his internship at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then went on to complete his residencies in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2000 and 2004, respectively. This was followed by a fellowship in head and neck oncology with microvascular reconstruction at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 2004.
After his fellowship, as the course of his service to the United States Army, Dr. DuMornay served as a surgeon on a trauma team in Iraq for over a year. During this time, he and his colleagues provided care to soldiers injured in combat, as well as to Iraqi patients in Baghdad and surrounding villages. He would be deployed two more times until leaving the military with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
The author of many articles and medical papers on otolaryngology, Dr. DuMornay is fluent in English, French, and Spanish, which makes him accessible to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
