Since 1979, Southwest Plastic Surgery Center has established a surgery division, offering plastic surgery and developing a cosmetic surgery service for its Mesquite clients in Dallas County. More than 8,000 miles separate Manila from Dallas, a journey that Dr. Rodriguez made in stages. It began at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and medical degree. He then set himself up for a residency in general surgery at the University of Philippines, after which he relocated to the United States.
In New Jersey, he established his US credentials with a residency in general surgery before completing a residency in plastic surgery at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland. He first arrived in Dallas as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Dallas Regional Medical Center before opening Southwest Plastic Surgery Center.
At the Center, he and his staff work with patients on liposuction and cosmetic surgeries along with less-invasive options for rejuvenation such as microdermabrasion and chemical peels. Dr. Rodriguez is equally adept as a fellowship-trained hand surgeon, specializing in alleviating the pain and suffering caused by carpal tunnel syndrome, repetitive stress syndrome, work-related hand injuries, broken fingers, and other general hand injuries. Moreover, he can help with mole removal, skin lesions, cyst removal, and other types of skin issues, and works with a number of other highly qualified physicians.
Bringing a vast wealth of experience and knowledge to every surgical procedure he performs, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
