As a board-certified and fellowship-trained rheumatologist, Dr. Toci is a part of the team at Arthritis & Osteoporosis Consultants of the Carolinas with two offices in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Arthritis & Osteoporosis Consultants of the Carolinas was founded in 2000 when Drs. Ahmad Kashif and Gary Maniloff of the Nalle Clinic and Drs. Robert Kipnis and Andrew Laster of Presbyterian Healthcare Associates joined to establish an independent rheumatology practice. Combining years of experience in private practice, academic teaching, and clinical research, the team of medical professionals are excited about the ability to translate what they have learned into a clinic setting that would provide highly individualized and state-of-the-art care.

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and a Certified Clinical Densitometrist, Dr. Toci is a member of the International Society for Clinical Densitometry, the American Medical Association, the South Carolina Rheumatology Society, and the North Carolina Rheumatology Association.

Following the completion of her undergraduate degree at West Virginia University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, she went on to obtain her medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine. All of her training (internship, residency, and fellowship) was completed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

The doctor is board-certified in both rheumatology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Rheumatology is a branch of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and therapy of rheumatic diseases. Physicians who have undergone formal training in rheumatology are called rheumatologists. Rheumatologists treat arthritis, autoimmune diseases, pain disorders affecting joints, and osteoporosis. There are more than 200 types of these diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, back pain, osteoporosis, and tendinitis.

In recognition of her clinical success, Dr. Toci is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including West Virginia University Foundation 30 Outstanding Seniors Award, West Virginia University Honors Program, West Virginia University Presidential Award for Excellence, and American College of Physicians State Chapter Abstract Competition Awards.
