Dr. Dane J. Shepherd is a highly respected and very experienced Osteopathic Medicine Specialist who has been practicing in his private practice for over four decades. Dr. Shepherd is noted for his expertise in providing high-quality care using a unique combination of integrative medicine skills including Osteopathic Manual Manipulation, Osteopathic Cranial Sacral Manipulative Medicine, Homeopathy, Traditional Chinese Acupuncture & Yamamoto Scalp Acupuncture from Japan as well as anti-aging agents to treat acute and chronic internal medicine complaints.
Dr. Shepherd has developed his own Osteopathic manipulative technique called QuantumTide Osteopathy℠where he combines Osteopathic manipulation techniques with quantum physics concepts to help balance all the patient’s body systems for optimal health. Dr. Shepherd has trained extensively under Dr. Viola Frymann MB, DO, FAAO of San Diego, California and he has practiced in San Francisco, SanDiego, Chicago, New York, Bogota Colombia, Quito Ecuador, and Spain. Dr. Shepherd has been an associate clinical professor/instructor at three US medical schools and trains both foreign and domestic medical students & doctors. He participates in both Osteopathic & Allopathic post graduate degree medical programs.
He is a frequent speaker at multiple medical conferences including, The “Primer Simposio Internacional De Osteopatia Y Quiropractica Algo Mas Que Una Tecnica” for the Asociacion Medica Colombia de Osteopatia Y Quiropractica in Santa Fe De Bogota, Colombia. Dr. Shepherd’s published articles include those related to the interrelationship of Homeopathy and Osteopathy.
Dr. Shepherd completed his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry in 1972. Furthering his education he graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine & Surgery Degree from Midwestern University in 1977. While obtaining his Medical Degree he completed a three-year fellowship in the specialty of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He continued his training after he received his medical degree to complete over one thousand hours of postgraduate training in the specialty of Homeopathy. Additionally, he completed a separate medical degree in traditional Chinese medicine in Acupuncture from the Midwest Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine in 1982.
To stay up to date in his field, Dr. Shepherd has also been a professional member of the American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association, and the Registro de Los Osteopatas de Espana.
