Dr. Victor V. Phan is a highly respected and experienced surgeon, having been in practice for over 15 years. His acclaimed career in medicine began when he graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Des Moines University in Iowa. After medical school, Dr. Phan completed his Orthopedic Surgery internship and residency with the Horizons Health System/Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he served as chief intern and chief resident.
Dr. Phan is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and he provides expert diagnosis and treatment for a number of orthopaedic conditions. He is determined to enhance his patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. With a passion for his work, Dr. Phan is noted for his expertise in general orthopedics, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, total joint replacement, trauma and fracture care, and hand, elbow, and shoulder surgery.
Dr. Phan is a distinguished member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Academy Orthopedics. He has served several tenures as Chief of Orthopedics at Southeast Memorial Hermann Hospital (SEMH). He is currently the Joint and Physical Therapy Director at SEMH. He was named Citizen of the Year in 2016 by the Southeast Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed Clinical Adjunct Faculty member at Alderson Broaddus University in 2018.
